The Hague University of Applied Sciences invites you to apply for the annual Talent Scholarship: This program searching for young, intelligent, talented and ambitious people who view themselves as citizens of the world. If this sounds like you and the conditions listed above apply to you, all you need to do is complete the application form and write an essay of 950 to 1100 words that would convince us to provide you with a scholarship.
Key Scholarship Points:
Where? At Hague University of Applied Sciences.When? Applications must be submitted before the 1st of April in order to study for the period of 2013-2014.
Value of scholarship: the value of the scholarship is €5,000 (EUROS). This is equivalent to almost two-thirds of the total first year university's tuition fee. It will only be awarded once.
Who is eligible? Candidates from outside of the European Union (and not from Iceland, Norway, Liectenstein, Switzerland or Surinam).
Requirements: Candidates must be:
- enrolling for the first time in one of the Bachelor Programmes at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
- in a position where they have never been awarded this particular scholarship before
- prepared to complete the scholarship application form before the final deadline (1st of April 2013)
- provisionally accepted as a student at Hague University of Applied Sciences on or before the 31st of March.
- able to complete the essay component of the application before said deadline.
Number of places? There will 54 scholarships offered to students who plan to start their bachelor programme during the academic years of 2013-2014.
Essay component information:
In the essay, describe your cultural background and explain why and how you can contribute to the multinational, multicultural beehive that is The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
When you are writing your essay, try picturing yourself as a member of this community. The university has appointed a committee to judge all essays, which should be submitted before 1 April, 2013. The judges will select the 54 students whose essays will have impressed them most and reward them with a scholarship. The decision of the jury will be binding.

You will be taught by both local and international lecturers who have an easy way of interacting with the students. The social contact among the students also makes for an enriching study period.
