About ESE

Equal Student Exchange (ESE) is a volunteer-based student network which provides free information about student exchange and study overseas opportunities.

Focusing on providing information to students from developing countries, ESE acknowledges the financial and organisational obstacles these students must often come to face. It is the belief of ESE that both universities and students can benefit through international engagement. A more culturally diverse range of international students will contribute to the continued exchange of knowledge, ideas and culture between different universities and countries.

The volunteers of ESE recognize the importance of establishing enduring educational, cultural and professional links through student exchange.

Exchange Fair - GAMAFEST 2013

This year Equal Student Exchange (ESE) contributes through promoting the Student Exchange Fair of GAMAFEST. This Festival of international culture, cuisine, and education is an initiative brought to you by the Committee of GAMAFEST with cooperation from the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in central Java, Indonesia.

Equal Student Exchange (ESE):
Equal Student Exchange is a network of international students who want to share information and their experiences about overseas study and scholarship opportunities. The aim is to assist students from developing countries. The vision of ESE is a world of greater equity in terms of opportunities for students from developing countries and lower socio-economic backgrounds to study overseas.

ESE and GAMAFEST:
In 2011 - a group of students from Australia, Egypt, France, Indonesia, Gambia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea and Sweden joined forces to share their experiences about scholarships and other educational opportunities in their respective countries. Through this event Equal Exchange Student Exhibition (ESE) international education was integrated into GAMAFEST.
