About ESE

Equal Student Exchange (ESE) is a volunteer-based student network which provides free information about student exchange and study overseas opportunities.

Focusing on providing information to students from developing countries, ESE acknowledges the financial and organisational obstacles these students must often come to face. It is the belief of ESE that both universities and students can benefit through international engagement. A more culturally diverse range of international students will contribute to the continued exchange of knowledge, ideas and culture between different universities and countries.

The volunteers of ESE recognize the importance of establishing enduring educational, cultural and professional links through student exchange.

ESE Opportunities Map

The Equal Student Exchange (ESE) Opportunities Map illustrates just some examples of the student exchange and study abroad opportunities covered by ESE over the past year. The Map is useful in displaying the regional distribution of scholarship programs and other study opportunities available for students from developing countries. The Equal Student Exchange Community hopes to raise awareness of these opportunities so that these students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds may gain access to study and personal development opportunities that would otherwise remain outside of their reach.

Credits go to Ferdi A. and AIESEC at Universitas Gadjah Mada for helping us compose this map. Stay tuned for many more additions to come in 2013.
